Retail Leasing
Signage, visibility, the quantity of parking, various types of tenants proximity to one another and the amount of square footage a premises devotes to selling one item or another are all issues that are crucial to managing a successful Shopping Center. Additionally, representing owners and managers of retail space requires a unique understanding of how these and other provisions can, if not properly negotiated or managed, create a risk that one or two poorly performing stores can result in a loss of rental revenue or may trigger lease termination rights that could result in significant losses at a center. Likewise, delivery and commencement date requirements must be carefully negotiated and drafted. These are a couple of issues that are unique to retail leasing and that require an attorney familiar with retail issues and tenant requests. D. F. Webber has experience representing owners of retail shopping centers and can work through these issues with prospective and existing tenants.
